What LIGNIQUE is designed for
LIGNIQUE is a continuity-first locally installed desktop workflow studio for comic, storyboard, and visual storytelling work. It is designed to help you organise prompts, style references, character locks, output review, and continuity-focused working material in one focused workspace rather than a loose prompt-only experience.
LIGNIQUE operates primarily on your device. Where you choose to use BYOK features or other integrations, any relevant third-party services remain independent of Lignique Studios and continue to be governed by their own terms, policies, billing, and privacy practices.

Main workspace guide
Create is where you define the scene, negative prompt, dimensions, Style Gallery preset, and lock setup.
Preview shows the active result and lets you open Edit Mode, copy metadata, save history, report output, or download PNG.
Recent outputs stores saved generations on this device for quick continuity reference.
Library Vault (inside Character Locks) stores up to 50 reusable character references across sessions.
API Key & Desktop Settings manages local key storage, local data actions, and desktop-specific controls.
Metadata and saved output notes
Copy Meta copies the current output metadata JSON to your clipboard for tracking, debugging, record-keeping, or support review.
Save stores the current output in local device history for continuity reference and later review.
Download PNG exports the visible result from the current workspace as a PNG file.
Report Output prepares a structured local report bundle for your own review, support, or escalation workflow.
Privacy & local data
LIGNIQUE operates primarily on your device. Local history, lock descriptors, reference locks, generated output metadata, and certain technical or diagnostic information may be stored on this device to support workflow continuity, troubleshooting, and review.
Lignique Studios does not operate LIGNIQUE as a centrally hosted creation service. If you choose to use external AI or API-based services, any prompts, files, inputs, metadata, or other content sent to those services are transmitted at your direction and are governed by their respective terms, privacy practices, and service conditions.

Reset all local app data
Deleting cached lock data clears style lock, character cards, Style Gallery selection, edit reference locks, and the Library Vault on this device.
Resetting all local app data clears history, locks, vault, API key storage, and other locally stored workflow data on this device only. It does not control third-party accounts, subscriptions, or billing.
AI safety reporting
If a generated result appears inappropriate, unsafe, unlawful, infringing, misleading, or otherwise problematic, you may create a local report bundle from inside the app for your own review, support, or escalation workflow.
Report bundles are prepared locally for your review and handling. Before sharing any report, review the included prompt text, images, metadata, previews, and file details carefully. Share only the minimum necessary information, and do not include personal, confidential, sensitive, or regulated data unless it is strictly necessary and you are lawfully authorised to share it.

Support, responsibilities, and legal use
LIGNIQUE is a productivity and creative workflow tool. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unsuitable, or potentially infringing. You remain responsible for independently reviewing and validating prompts, inputs, outputs, and any materials you choose to use, share, or publish.
Nothing in this guide replaces the full End-User License Agreement or applicable Privacy Policy. For the governing legal terms, use Open full legal PDF . For support enquiries, contact jayadevanpremnath@lignique.com .
Diagnostics
Advanced connection details, the local engine URL, the latest issue, and the session log are available under Advanced connection & diagnostics in the main panel.
Live generation and edit requests may take several minutes; the app waits up to about seven minutes before reporting a timeout.
Use diagnostics and support exports carefully. Review their contents before sharing them outside your device.
Style Gallery
Pick a preset from the top bar for hidden art-direction guidance — it does not replace your visible prompt.
Stacks with Style Lock and Character Lock: gallery for broad direction, locks for specific references.
Clear the selection from the gallery dialog or when you delete cached lock data.
Edit Mode
Open Edit Mode from Preview after you have a generated or loaded image.
Right-click context menus on preview and history are disabled while Edit Mode is active.
Use mask tools (brush, lasso, rectangle, magic, guide) to select where to change. Whole-image edits work with no mask; reference locks without a mask use whole-scene integration.
Before / After compares the previous edit step (or session original at step 1). Shift+click for split compare.
Line weight sampler sets brush size and optional ink color prompt hint on Apply.
Edit intent chips and Contract mode (Off / Literal / Minimal) shape the edit request.
Edit strength controls how strongly the edit prompt reshapes the result (default 42). Lower values preserve more of the original.
Variations per apply requests multiple options when supported; pick one from the variation strip below the canvas.
Reference locks : up to 15 active images per edit. Import Character Locks and Import from Vault in the lock dock.
Expand canvas only resizes the workspace locally (not AI outpaint) — mask the new area, then Apply.
Create seed (if set) is passed through to edit requests for reproducibility when the API supports it.
Style Gallery presets also apply during edits when one is selected.
Import Image replaces the current edit source; you are prompted to save or discard in-session work first.
While an edit is applying: Cancel , Save & exit , Discard & exit , and Exit Edit cancel the request first, then complete your chosen action.
Complete touch-ups before 4× upscale (local canvas interpolation, not AI enhancement); upscaling exits Edit Mode and is best used as a finishing step.
Shortcuts & workflow tips
Ctrl+Enter generates the current scene, or applies an edit when Edit Mode is open.
F1 opens this help guide from the main workspace.
Escape while applying cancels the edit; otherwise clears compare/split/mask, then exits (prompts to save or discard when there are unsaved changes).
Use Save to add the current output to local device history.
Use Export support bundle only after reviewing what it contains.
